Princess: Content Warnings

Princess is set during the events of Redemption. It is a character study on Athena Smythe.

With no career or university aspirations, Athena looks around an Australia trying to cover from war, her community trying to recover from an attempted genocide, and the people in charge failing to help. She looks and tries to turn away to focus on her own survival again. Then an angel asks her to become a princess.

Having personal experiences of PTSD, I take content warnings seriously. As a writer, I take spoilers seriously. Here’s an attempt at a happy medium.

Content Warnings include:

Broad content warnings: Abuse (child; emotional; physical; sexual), racism (including from the narrator), misogyny (including from the narrator), transphobia (including from the narrator), homophobia (including internalised homophobia from the narrator), colonialism & genocide (including references to real world cases and re-education institutes), and a lot of general talk about war. The reactions you can anticipate from people living under these conditions are there too.

It should also be stated that while this is a story about magical oppression, it is in no way allegorical, and exists alongside real-world oppression.

Princess is available for direct purchase from the author on Patreon, or via Amazon and Apple Books.
